Updating the SpywareBlaster® protection database

In order to update the protection database, SpywareBlaster requires you to have the latest version of the program installed (new versions may contain bug fixes, enhancements, or database changes).

There are two ways to update the SpywareBlaster database:

  • Manual updates are free. We recommend doing manual updates at least weekly.
    • Open SpywareBlaster
    • Press the "Updates" tab on the left side of the program interface
    • Press the "Check for Updates" button
    • If updates were downloaded "Enable Protection" again
  • Automatic updating of the SpywareBlaster database is available. This user-requested feature requires a small fee to cover the increased costs associated with autoupdating (see Purchasing SpywareBlaster® AutoUpdate).
